If you live in the United States, then I’m sure you’ve heard about the solar eclipse that’s happening this Monday (8/21/17)! In certain parts of the US, the entire sun will be eclipsed! The entire event will last approximately 2 hours, but the time that the entire sun is covered will only last about two minutes. This is such an exciting event for us, because the last solar eclipse was nearly 4 decades ago! But the wait for the next one won’t be nearly as long; if you miss this one, the next one that will occur in the US will be in 2024!
Don’t forget to wear your safety glasses, because you could really hurt your eyes if you look directly at the sun for too long!
Anyways, what does all this have to do with a free printable? Well… we gotta decorate our planners to remember such an awesome event! And I purposely made this printable less solar eclipse-y and more galaxy-ish so that everyone around the world could enjoy this printable, and we could enjoy it even if there isn’t a celestial event going on. 😊
I made two versions of this printable, because I just couldn’t decide which one I liked better (and I was too lazy to make a full, two-page printable 🙊). One version has full-box checklists, and the other does not!
This printable contains:
- 5 full day boxes
- 3 full days-wide banner
- 3 full boxes with space for writing OR 3 full checklists
- 3 half boxes
- 7 checklist ribbons
- 7 “today” banners
- 7 “to-do” banners
- 4 habit trackers
- 1 weekend banner
- 3 washi strips
As always, this printable is free for personal, non-commercial use. That means you can’t sell these or use these in any way to make money or anything like that! I found all images on Pinterest. Speaking of which, you should totally pin this printable if you like it! 💖

Not sure how printables work? Once you get the hang of it, it’s easy peasy! Think of printables as DIY stickers! I recommend printing my printables on Avery 8.5″ x 11″ Shipping Labels. You can cut them out with a craft cutter machine (like a Silhouette or Cricut), with a paper trimmer, or with scissors! Don’t have sticker paper? Not a problem! Print it out on regular 8.5″ 11″ printer paper (sometimes called copy paper), and use a glue stick to stick it in your planner. The products linked are the ones that I personally use!
