I just LOVE how this week turned out!! 😍 The colors and the artwork are just so fall-y and PERFECT! 🍂🍁 It’s finally starting to feel like fall here in Southern California! It isn’t 100 degrees every day anymore!! 🙌 I was able to bust out my riding boots and best of all… my sweaters!!! 😍
If there’s one thing I love as much as… maybe even more than sweaters… it’s ponchos! My boyfriend always asks me why I’m wearing a blanket out of the house whenever I wear a poncho. 😂 I mean… I guess they are kinda blanket-like. But that’s what makes them so awesome! That and scarves. Especially blanket scarves. 😍
Aaaaanyways. Back to my weekly spread. 😅
Whenever I photograph my planner, I usually take it out of the black leather case. I don’t do this because I don’t like it, because I seriously love this thing. It has two short pockets in the front, one tall pocket (the length of the cover), and a tall pocket in the back next to the pen loop (which is a SERIOUS game changer! I know it sounds silly, but I can’t imagine my planner without a pen loop!) Did I mention it comes with a pen loop? 😍 Anywho, I usually leave out my gorgeous cover because I think it makes my pics look a little dark, and I like lighter, brighter colors in my planner pics.
To be honest, I’m kinda happy I’m finally sharing my cover with you guys! You guys rarely get to see what I keep in my pockets… it’s almost like you only get to see half of my planner every week!
I got this cover because I wanted my Happy Planner to have a more sophisticated, professional look to it. It’s the Classic Happy Planner Deluxe Cover in Black! There are other colors, too! Like rose gold or holographic (I personally like to call this color “unicorn“, but that’s just me). Ultimately, I decided to go with black because I thought it was timeless, and would match with anything! I use the same line of logic when picking out clothes or shoes. So many of the things I own are black, but I just think it’s so chic and stylish!
Usually I use the pockets to hold scraps of paper with lists scrawled on them, stickers, sticky notes, and paperclips. They’re usually more functional than they are pretty. I was feeling gloomy a few days ago, so I decided to decorate my planner to cheer me up! The goal was to create something pretty that would cheer me up just by looking at it. I think I succeeded! 😊
Best of all, all the stuff I used to decorate my pockets were given to me by other planner girls! I either won them in a giveaway or got them in a swap! Not only does my planner cover make me happy, but it also reminds me of my sweet planner friends I’ve met! 💕
Did you notice all the beautiful bows and clips sticking out from the top of my planner? Those all came from swaps with other planner girls, too! Aren’t they talented? 😍 I’m so grateful to have met such kind and creative planner friends! 💕
As for the stickers I used… I used a kit called Harvest. More accurately, I used bits and pieces from 3 pages of this kit! The whole thing is 4 full pages! I have plenty leftover for at least another week! I barely used any of the deco stickers in this kit! I felt like I already covered up enough of my planner with the boxes and washi strips. But I had to include the deco sticker with the girl holding an umbrella. I just love that one!
