Happy Tuesday, everyone! Like I mentioned a couple of posts back, I’m going to be playing catch up a little bit, but instead of making one post for each week like I’ve done in the past, I’ll share a couple of weekly spreads per post. That way, you can check out all of my weekly spreads, but I won’t be spamming my email subscribers’ inboxes with a bunch of emails!
I would start with January 2018… but I realize I never shared my weekly spread from the last week of 2017! So before we dive into 2018, I’m just gonna share the last week of December 2017 really quick…
For this week I used Black & Gold Holiday Cheer! It’s a free printable designed for the Classic Happy Planner! I wanted something festive but also a little glam since both Christmas and New Year’s Eve happened this week. I thought this weekly kit was perfect!
I don’t think there are enough heart eyes for these kits!! 😍 I initially made the weekly kit, but loved it so much I knew it had to be a monthly kit as well! First up is my January 2018 monthly spread. I used the January 2018 Monthly Kit for Classic Happy Planner! I love this one so much, I’m probably going to use it again in December this year, or in January again!
Aaaand here’s the coordinating weekly kit! It’s called “Snow” and it’s sized for the Classic Happy Planner. Everything you see here (except for the silver glitter washi) comes with the kit! The kit is 4 full US Letter pages long, but I only used about 2 pages to achieve this look. I have PLENTY leftover to decorate another week!
This kit does include date covers, but I took my #beforethepen pic before I added those in. The date covers aren’t a solid color; they’re all glitter date covers. The glitter is the same color as the hydrate stickers!
I especially love the close-up shots of the snowflake and ice. Doesn’t it just blow your mind that no two snowflakes are alike?! I’ve always been fascinated with macro shots of snowflakes. ❄
And can we please talk about that ADORABLE little snow pup?! 😍
Next up is the second week of January 2018! For this week, I wanted to use a wintery kit, but I didn’t want to cover up the cute flowers in the bottom margin. I love the Happy Planner I’m using this year SO MUCH, that I want to avoid covering it any of the cute clip art up as much as possible. This is a drastic departure from the Happy Planner I used last year; I found myself using stickers and washi to cover up the spaces I didn’t particularly care for (like the entire month of October with its purple, orange and black color scheme 🙅).
The planner I’m using this year is the “Happy Mind Happy Life” Classic Happy Planner. Me & My Big Ideas no longer offers this planner on their website (probably because we’re nearly a third of the way through 2018 and this is a dated planner), but if you’re interested in checking out some of the monthly dashboards, you can check it out on Amazon. I’m not going to go into detail about my planner right now, since this post is all about the planner spreads!
For this week, I used the Hello Kitty Pink Christmas weekly kit. It’s a free printable that you can download right here on my blog! I also used some pink glitter washi because it matched perfectly with this kit! And everything is better with glitter! 💖
To be honest, I felt just a liiiittle weird using this kit in my planner. And the “Snow” weekly kit. And the January Monthly kit. Only because I live in Southern California and it doesn’t exactly snow here in the winter! 😅 Winter out here is more like “sweater weather” in the Midwest (where I was born and raised). No complaints here– it’s AWESOME! (I never really liked the cold anyways. I definitely DON’T miss scraping ice off my car every morning!).
I just feel weird using snowy or cold stickers in my planner when it doesn’t get that cold out here. But these were too cute NOT to use! Can you blame me? ❄
Aaaand… that’s it for January! I was kind of in a planner slump, so I didn’t even bother decorating my planner for the rest of January. 🙁
It’s always nice to have a bunch of links all in one place instead of having to hunt through the entire blog post to find what you’re looking for. So…here are the links to all of the kits I used in this blog post!
So, what did you think about this January recap post? Were there so many planner pics that it was overwhelming? Would you prefer one blog post per planner spread? Let me know in the comments below!
