February 2018 Weekly Spreads – Part Two

Hello, friends! I’m still here playing “catch up”, sharing my weekly and monthly spreads in my planner. Like I mentioned in my last post, I’m going to split up my February spreads into two posts, because I didn’t want to make one super-long post. It seemed natural to split up the spreads by the kits used rather than chronologically, because I only used 2 kits for the entire month of February! Each of the kits I used were 4 US Letter pages long, so I had plenty of stickers to decorate 2 weeks with each kit– I even a lot of leftover stickers!

Since Valentine’s Day is in February, all of the kits I used are romantic or lovey in one way or another. The kit I used for the spreads in this blog post is called “Love n Stuff“. It was designed specifically for Valentine’s Day!

February 2018 – Week 1

I really loved the colors in this kit, and how light and whimsical it looks! Even though it was designed with Valentine’s Day in mind, you could totally use this for an anniversary week, or for a week with a special date night or something! Or just because– because who doesn’t love scribble hearts in rose gold, pastel pink, and navy blue?!

Even better– I didn’t feel like I had to cover up the little “Jan/Feb” banner in the upper left corner. It matched perfectly with my kit! Don’t you just love when your planner matches with your weekly kits?

Don’t mind the Tuesday column here. (Since this is a #beforethepen pic, I didn’t write the days in yet. I’m talking about the second day column on the left page.) I knew I wanted to color block each of the columns AND use half of this kit for another weekly spread. Since the Tuesday column uses the lightest pink color, I figured leaving that day box blank wouldn’t be as noticeable as perhaps leaving the navy blue column blank.

Just like I mentioned in my previous post, I opted not to cover up the little flower doodles in the bottom margin. Even though the hot pink flowers don’t match exactly with this weekly kit, they were still really cute and I really liked them… so I left them!

This year I’m using the “Happy Mind Happy Life” Classic Happy Planner. Me & My Big Ideas no longer offers this planner on their website (probably because we’re nearly halfway through 2018 and this is a dated planner), but if you’re interested, you can check it out on Amazon.

This was the week of Valentine’s Day! It was so hard choosing which sticker to use on Valentine’s Day!! All of the stickers were so cute… but I decided to go with a sticker with a simple and clear message: “LOVE”. I also picked this sticker because it was mostly navy blue, so it really contrasted with the other lighter colors in the kit, helping it to stand out a little more.

Have you noticed how I alternated kits each week? I didn’t want to use the Coffee and Flowers kit two weeks in a row… especially right after the February monthly spread (which coordinated with the Coffee and Flowers kit). I liked having a coordinating monthly kit, but I didn’t want things to be tooooo matchy-matchy.

Can you believe I used just one kit to decorate two whole weeks?! And the first week using this kit was almost a no-white-space week! The best part is that this kit is a printable, so if I messed up any of the stickers or wished I had more of a certain sticker… all I have to do is print it again! In case you missed it, the kit I used for these weeks is called Love n Stuff. I used it in my Classic Happy Planner, but it’s also available for the Big Happy Planner and the Mini Happy Planner!

That’s all for today, sweet friends! Coming up next I’ll share my weekly spreads for the month of March! Be sure to follow my blog to be the first to know about the latest free printables!
