The Planner Girl’s Guide to Black Friday

Hi everyone! Are you super excited for Black Friday this year? I’m super excited to buy way more planner things than I need! πŸ™ˆ I’m basically gonna share my wishlist with you guys, along with some other deals and general shopping tips. πŸ‘ I used to be into extreme couponing, and Black Friday gets me so excited! Even if I’m not planning to buy a lot of stuff… I just love a good deal!! πŸ’Έ

Before shopping, please make it a point to read and understand each store or website’s coupon policies that way you don’t feel disappointed or cheated if a coupon doesn’t work. On the other hand, if you know the policy, you can stand your ground politely if a store associate tries to decline your coupon. Just have the coupon policy on hand, stay calm, and PLEASE be nice to the sales associate. Even if they’re rude to you! Imagine how it feels to have to work in a chaotic environment like Black Friday!! You don’t know how early they had to wake up, how far they had to commute, what atrociously rude customers they had to deal with before you… These same employees might have had to miss Thanksgiving with their family because they had to work to keep their jobs! Remember what the holiday season is all about and try to spread some of this holiday cheer while you’re out shopping! It’s all about love, gratitude, kindness, etc.

Ahem… anyways…

Personally, I don’t plan to go into any stores on Black Friday. I’m going to do as much shopping online as possible because I don’t particularly enjoy going into stores on Black Friday. Too chaotic for me. πŸ˜… Amazon is my favorite and since I have Prime (which includes free shipping!!) I’m planning on making most of my purchases there. However… I did research other stores and sites because I’m all about finding the best deal out there!

I’ll go over some of the sales and deals that stood out to me from some of my favorite places to shop: Amazon, Silhouette America, Etsy, Michael’s, Jo-Ann Fabrics, Me & My Big Ideas (Happy Planner), and Erin Condren. I’ll update deals as they expire and as I discover new ones!

October 9-15 Weekly Spread

Hello, my lovely potatoes! Now that my birthday week/the giveaway week is over, I’m going right back to super autumn-ey layouts! I used the Pumpkins & Leaves printable in my planner, and I have to admit… I really like it! This kit has a couple touches of Halloween, but nothing too creepy or spooky.

Okay, I’ve got to be honest with you guys. It kind of really bothers me that I complained to you guys about how Halloween is my least favorite holiday, and here I go using a Halloween kit in my planner and it’s not even the week of Halloween. In my defense though, it’s a really pretty kit! πŸŽƒ

… but it doesn’t stop there. I’ve already picked out the kits I want to use for the next two weeks and… they’re both Halloween kits. πŸ™ˆ Just wait ’till you see them, though! They’re both super kawaii! My tater tots in the Plan With Potato Facebook Group know what I’m talking about, because I shared these kits for free with them! Head on over and join today if “Hello Kitty” and “kawaii” mixed with “Halloween” sound like something you’d be interested in. 😊

Planner Haul

One of the good bad things about Instagram is seeing all the cute planner stuff people are buying so I know what to look for the next time I’m out. This week in particular, it seems like every store was having some amazing sale, or a really good deal, or just general cute planner stuff I didn’t know I needed until I saw it.

So on Friday, I headed out to a couple of stores: Michaels, Hobby Lobby, and Target. I was not disappointed in the slightest with what I got. Check out my haul Continue reading “Planner Haul”
