Hello, everyone! I hope everyone had a lovely Memorial Day weekend with their family! ❤ Sorry I’m a bit late to share this week’s spread with you all, I was spending the weekend with my family! My boyfriend and I decided to fly back home to Chicago to surprise our families… I’m so glad we did! It was so hard to keep this secret from my family, but it was totally worth it!
One of my favorite parts about this weekend was that my mom and my brother’s girlfriend, helped me to set up and take my #beforethepen pictures this week! They both got totally into it, and we all had a blast. Even my dad got involved! Stay tuned for a “behind-the-scenes: planner photoshoot” blog post! But for now, here’s what this week looks like!
Remember those shaker clips I made for the planner meetup I attended? At first, I didn’t like them (can you believe it?!) But they’ve since grown on me, and now I kind of really love them! 💖 I had a couple left over from the meetup, and they matched PERFECTLY with this week’s theme! Aren’t they just the cutest?
The fresh flower was my mom’s idea! She has the loveliest garden– I’m so jealous! After visiting home, I realized what my garden was missing: flowers! I have mostly succulents and leafy tropical plants. Sure, they can all flower, but I don’t have any plants that are grown JUST for their flowers. Guess I have another excuse to visit the local plant nursery… 🌸🌺

Ever heard the phrase “a day late and a dollar short”? That’s totally me! 😭 I was so excited about how this month was coming along, I just dove write in (**lame pun alert**) and started adding birthdays. Usually I’m pretty good about capturing a nice #beforethepen picture, but not this month. Honestly, this is more like #afterthepenbutnotafterallofthepen 😂
I usually prefer sharing #beforethepen pictures because I’m a little embarrassed about my handwriting! 🙈 I know practice makes perfect, and I’m using my planner (along with an entire notebook dedicated just to handwriting!) for practice. I’m still not very excited about my handwriting, but I can definitely see improvements, and I’m proud of that! 👍

When I first got my planner, I knew I wanted to use it to track more than just events and appointments. I wanted to track my water consumption, how frequently I work out, and how many hours I sleep every night. I searched the internet up and down for a tracker printable that had it all, but I couldn’t find one that was just right. So, I made my very own! 💖 Continue reading “Minimal Sidebar Tracker: Sleep, Water & Habits [Free Printable!]”
Oops, I totally forgot to share with you my planner layout for this week! But the week’s not over yet!
Earth day was this week, and I couldn’t ask for a better excuse to decorate my planner with plants and succulents! I used a printable called “Succulents” by Victoria Thatcher. I also looked on the internet for additional plantie pictures because if I’m going to do a plantie layout, I’m gonna do a plantie layout. 💖 Continue reading “Happy Earth Day!”
Freebie alert! I was searching Pinterest for some printables for the week of Easter to use in my classic-sized Happy Planner, but couldn’t quite find one that I loved. Soon after, I found myself making my first-ever printable!
I just love the soft colors, the floral patterns and… of course my favorite kawaii characters! 💖 Continue reading “Free Planner Printable: Vintage Floral Easter”
