The first day of summer is this week! Although it certainly feels like summer has already been here with temperatures like these… 🔥 This week, I decided to go back to one of my earlier styles of planner decorating, before I discovered planner kits.
I had so much fun making this printable! When I first set out to make it, I decided to do a pineapples-only theme. But then I saw some really adorable images with flamingos, parrots, toucans, tropical flowers and leaves… I wanted to include it all! But ultimately decided to stick with just pineapples. Which means I’m totally going to make a tropical one in the near future! 😄 This was another one of those printables I had so much fun making, I got a little carried away and it turned into a two-page mini kit! Where is the time going? I feel like just yesterday I was asking myself how it was June already, and now we’re nearly halfway through the month! Can we please get a “pause” or “slow down” button for time, or just life in general? Or how about adding more hours to the day? Phew!
The *Official* First Day of Summer is right around the corner, but with the warm weather already here, it’s basically already summer for me! So, I decided to go for a summery theme this week.
It’s here! It’s finally here! Since this giveaway is in celebration of reaching 200 followers on Instagram, the theme will be “2”! That means there will be TWO winners! YAAAAAY!!! Continue reading “Potato’s First Giveaway!”→
Did anybody else used to get excited for back-to-school supplies shopping? Every year, I remember begging my mom to get me Lisa Frank binders, folders, notebooks, and of course stickers. I loved the the unicorns, aliens, and cats the most. And whenever any of her girls had red hair, because I always thought it looked like me.
I don’t really remember when exactly stores stopped carrying Lisa Frank stuff. Maybe by that point I had gotten a little older and I didn’t really go school supplies shopping anymore. All I know is that somewhere along the way, stores stopped selling Lisa Frank products and this was a terrible, terrible tragedy.
This week, in the bottom margin on the right page was a quote that read “daydreaming is a mandatory daily exercise”. That quote and my love and appreciation for Lisa Frank were my inspiration for this week’s spread! Continue reading “June 5-11 Weekly Spread”→
I’m so excited! My stickers from The Modest Cat finally arrived! She provided me with a tracking number, and I felt like I was checking it a million times per day. Is anybody else like that when you’re expecting something awesome in the mail? When the tracker finally said “delivered” I ran to my mailbox! Okay, so I didn’t run. But I walked very excitedly. 😂 Continue reading “Happy Mail from The Modest Cat”→
I am overwhelmed by the positive, welcoming, and kind community of planner girls that I have found on social media! I’m just in love with this week’s theme, and everything that goes along with it. Isn’t this washi tape just dreamy? 😍💕
I got the top two and the popsicle washi tape at Hobby Lobby, I got the polka-dot washi tape from a planner swap, and the remaining two gold foil washi tapes I got from washi tubes at Michael’s. Continue reading “Washi Wednesday [5.31.17]”→
Hello, everyone! I hope everyone had a lovely Memorial Day weekend with their family! ❤ Sorry I’m a bit late to share this week’s spread with you all, I was spending the weekend with my family! My boyfriend and I decided to fly back home to Chicago to surprise our families… I’m so glad we did! It was so hard to keep this secret from my family, but it was totally worth it!
One of my favorite parts about this weekend was that my mom and my brother’s girlfriend, helped me to set up and take my #beforethepen pictures this week! They both got totally into it, and we all had a blast. Even my dad got involved! Stay tuned for a “behind-the-scenes: planner photoshoot” blog post! But for now, here’s what this week looks like!
Remember those shaker clips I made for the planner meetup I attended? At first, I didn’t like them (can you believe it?!) But they’ve since grown on me, and now I kind of really love them! 💖 I had a couple left over from the meetup, and they matched PERFECTLY with this week’s theme! Aren’t they just the cutest?
The fresh flower was my mom’s idea! She has the loveliest garden– I’m so jealous! After visiting home, I realized what my garden was missing: flowers! I have mostly succulents and leafy tropical plants. Sure, they can all flower, but I don’t have any plants that are grown JUST for their flowers. Guess I have another excuse to visit the local plant nursery… 🌸🌺
